Appalling, don't start the series

I have never not finished a series but I am seriously struggling to get through this one.
The story is not absolutely terrible (thus 2 stars instead of one) but the writing IS terrible. Poor grammar, horrible spelling, and use of the wrong words show a basic lack of English and writing skills. Characters are all dialogue but no depth. Main character is completely insipid and irritating.
It's not all bad, a part of me wants to know how the story ends, so every now and again when I have nothing else to read I cringe, spend the $4 or $5 and buy the next book, read it for a bit then when I can't stand it anymore I go read something else. However I do think they are very over priced for amateur novels. My best advice is to save yourself from my torture and avoid starting the series altogether (sorry I'm probably too late for most of you!). Could suit young teens and those who can look past the terrible writing and poor character development to an imaginative storyline.
But this author seriously needs to get some people to proof read for her.

The spelling and grammar in this book need some serious attention!

The story is really interesting but the grammar and spelling mistakes(in every single chapter) are really frustrating. The first book in this series also had some but this book has a lot more. Sometimes it feels like you're reading a rough draft. There are several places where excepting is written when it should be accepting or expecting and jester where it should say gesture. Nobody's perfect of course but there has got to be a way to do a better job at proofreading!

Samsung String? Are you kidding me?

First of all, I bought this book because I loved the first one. Even though the Marcus/Emmy love fling is very juvenile. I mean, I'm reading a book for teenagers, am I not?
The whole goal of the first book being free is: The reader loves the book so much, they go ahead and BUY the next book(s) in the series.
But within the first few pages, I regretted buying this book. The grammatical errors are AWFUL! Did this author even HIRE an editor? If so, she needs to get her money back. Nearly EVERY PAGE had an error.
How do you go from SAMSON STRING to SAMSUNG STRING, and continue on like that? I would be humiliated if my book was released with an error like that!
Not sure if I'm even going to continue this series, even though I am curious as to what's going to happen next.
Really disappointed.
