Want to age beautifully, and live longer and healthier?

This is a good book that guides you to ubderstand a basic ideas of what Sirtfood is. It also gives a good diet menus. I highly recommend someone who wants to live longer and healthier, and you will be beautiful inside and outside by Sirtfood. Since I did try Sirtfood in everyday meal, I never get hungry. Sirtfood suppresses my appetite even I eat normal amount!!!

Philosophy of the Human Person

This is an excellent introductory text into the subject matter of the human person. In its epistemological aspect, it is unquestionably loyal to an Aristotelian/Thomistic moderate realism. It goes through the aspect of human questioning and the problem of human knowledge. Here, in a tour de force, Reichmann introduces the reader to the entire structure of human knowledge beginning from the external world which impresses itself upon the human senses into his internal senses and then into intellectual concepts through the process of intellection. Reichmann also addresses the phenomenon of language and its relation to knowledge as well as to human nature. From knowledge, Reichmann then introduces the reader to the notion of action and willing and choosing, adopting, again an Aristotelian/Thomistic moderate determinism in his presentation of freedom, of willing, and of choosing. His handling of how it is that, though our will seeks the universal good infallibly, the will yet remains free in choosing particular goods is masterful. From knowing and willing, Reichmann then goes into other aspects of our human nature, including emotions and feelings and habits (which he defines as an "acquired operational structure") and only briefly touches the virtues and ethics. He passes from then to issues relating to the human person and the specific meaning which that has. He wraps his treatment up with questions as to the meaning of life, the meaning of death, and the beginnings of life individually and as a species. Though Reichmann is loyal to an Aristotelian/Thomistic viewpoint, he does not use any turgid scholastic phraseology. On the contrary, he uses modern concepts and language to express a traditional philosophy. This may be the single best text to introduce students or beginners to the greater aspects of being and good. Highly recommended.

This text provides an excellent intoduction and summary of the philosophy of the human being as has been traditionally taught in the Western tradition. Reichmann provides clear descriptions of several difficult topics in the philosophy of the person from the classic Thomist persepctive, especially in reference to modern issues like the beginning of life and the challenges posed by evolutionary theory

Interesting to read and very informative. This book will provide you a better understanding on how to use Calisthenics to develop your body into the physique you desire. You just need to follow the instructions that you learned in this book and put 120% into a better you. Important notes to remember w/ this program are that it is not all physical the mind plays a huge role in your success and state of mind that you go into the program will determine how far you reach.

very informative!

This book is very well written containing a lot of illustrations that makes you understand the rationale and the meaning of what is being exposed;
It contais 8 dvds which shows the operations described in the textbook; The best part is the liver and biliary tract operations and anatomy; Sometimes the edition of the films makes you a litle bit confused because the field of attention changes quickly and no zoom is used. The chapter that deals with pancreatic operations is not so rich in details as I think it should be.

blumgart is an authority but still this video atlas needs some more work

this book is a collection of more than a decade of hardwork by blumgart and colleagues. its nice but in the world of websurg and ORlive.com this book appears pale. i was looking to learn whipples by the master but inconsistent cuts (the camera changes angle without warning, leaving you dizzy and confused at times)are not what you expect after you pay such a large price.i respect his team but i have a suggestion......have one video which shows the procedure nicely from start to finish....let it be 4-6hr (or any amount of time long).....than have others which show variants.....and are of fewer minutes duration....and quite like the videos in this series...this really would help many....

About the Author
Robert Flitney is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer in the UK and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. His early engineering experience involved the operation and maintenance of power and process plants in the marine and frozen food industries. This was followed by 35 years of contract R&D on Fluid Sealing Technology at BHR Group, including 10 years managing this activity.
He has authored or co-authored over 50 papers, presented at international conferences, has been invited to provide the keynote presentation at Sealing Seminars, and was Convenor of the ISO Working Group responsible for reciprocating seal test standards. His current activities include consultancy and training on seals and sealing technology, and he is Technical Editor of Sealing Technology, a monthly newsletter for industry.

Allright, could be better

Allright book. I'm an engineer in the biz, and bought this as a reference.

Pretty much, it's a good overview. Just when it starts getting rolling... they move on to another subject. Unfortunate. Nevertheless, it's allright, and you can just search on google to pick up where they leave off (some of the time).

Note, they clause everything, with do your own testing. While this is true, it gets old reading that five to ten times a chapter.

The elastomer section was basic, but allright. The sealing types was basic, but allright. I was hoping for more, the penultimate specialized book. I guess I have to keep looking.

However, if you are dealing with special applications (i.e. toxic gases or lubricants, etc) you have go to the individual seal supplier for additional technical specifications.

My recommendation would to use:

Great perspective

I read this book years ago after I attended an Alpha course at my church. I think I let someone borrow it because I was unable to find my original copy and ordered this one as a "replacement" to the one I lost. I found this book to be insightful and Biblical. The explanation for the issues commonly raised were, in my Bible reading opinion, scripture based and within the context from which the verses were taken. By that I mean this author didn't pick and choose Bible verses to "support" his agenda but referred to verses that the context around the verse also support the views he had which were truly God's...in my opinion. I would recommend this book to anyone.

A Modern Classic of the Faith

There are a few books that I consider "most important" in my life. The Bible is first. After that, the list is very short, and includes "The Practice of the Presence of God" (the teachings of Brother Lawrence) and a couple of others. This book - "What Is The Point?" by Misty Edwards - is now on that list. If you're already a Christian and want to develop a new and deeper level of understanding of Jesus and the heart of God, read this book. --Bob Young

A book for the pilgrimage.

What is The Point? is a book for the pilgrimage. This book is not talking about a faith that we shine up and put in a display case to look nice, one that we clean up once in while when it gets visibly dusty and one that people admire and remark about how successfully we maintain our Christianity... No, this book is about a living faith, about loving the One who Lives, the Lord who is more Alive than we can ever comprehend, and who desires us to love Him with a living, growing love, the way He loves us.

What is The Point? is one of the nest books I have read this year. It is so good that I have a hard time reviewing it... I just want to highly recommend it.
At this point in my life, What is The Point pressed one main truth into my heart over and over as I read, the Truth of Revelation 2:4, 5. Even as a Born Again Christian, as a soul who has been washed in the precious saving blood of my Lord, my passion for God can fade if I let it.
If I begin consuming the world's delicacies, I will lose my taste for the Bread of Heaven.
I will get distracted by temporal things that seem so important, and aren't at all.
I will lose my joy in Jesus.
Over and over, I need to be called back to Him, my first Love.
And I can return, and be filled again with His love, and my Love for Him will be strengthened and restored.

What is the Point may seem like a small book, but it is solid, and I know that when I re-read this book, in seven months or in a year, there will be another lesson that my heart needs to learn, and the words in this book will help me.
